Fantastic story. Absolutely love early Elton. And I too lusted after a Wurly. Little did I know, in the mid 80's, they couldn't give them away. Now they're ridiculously priced. I got mine for $800 and had to have it worked on. But I love it. Thanks for the wonderful stories/images. I envy you for being at the coolest places at the right time!
